Founded in 1994 by François Duplat,
Bel Air Media is an independent audiovisual production company specialised in
performing arts (operas, ballets, concerts, plays…)
The company also produces documentary films on artistic and cultural subjects.
Since its creation
Bel Air Media
has produced more than four hundred prestigious recordings
for international broadcasters : ARTE,
France Télévisions and Mezzo in France, ZDF, ARD, BR in Germany,
ORF in Austria, Classica in Italy, NHK in Japan, BBC in England,
Thirteen/Wnet in the USA, Kultura in Russia…
In 2004
Bel Air Media has launched its DVD & Blu-ray Label,
releasing about a dozen titles per year.
Bel Air Classiques’ catalogue has been awarded
numerous international prizes: Golden Diapason of the Year,
BBC Magazine Music Award, Best Recording Award at the International Opera Awards,
Gramophone Classical Music Award, Preis der Deutschen Schallplatten Kritik.
